Our next event is Go Karting!

Colchester Indikart is sadly no more and so this event will be held at the A12 Karters Entertainment Centre in Witham.

The event will take place on Monday 27th February at 7:30pm. The price is £35 per head.

This is your invitation to the annual Round Table race night:

Date: Saturday 17th March 2011

Time: 7pm for 7.30pm

Venue: Alresford Village Hall

Cost: £10 per person, including a hog roast and a free bar*

The eagle-eyed will spot that this is St. Patrick’s night, so expect an Irish theme.

The event is a really good laugh, and a relatively cheap night out. The format is a DVD-based random horse race, on which we will run a tote for those who like a bet. To further add to the fun, we will be selling horses and jockeys on the night to our guests.

The night is in aid of the Colchester Round Table charity account, which is used to provide grants to charities and other good causes in the Borough of Colchester.

On a corporate note we will be looking for sponsorship, both for the whole event and for individual races. The cost is not massive, with sponsorship of the whole event priced at £250.00 and each race £50.00. The main sponsor gets a table of 10 and any literature distributed throughout the room; race sponsors get their name in the programme.

This is a strictly TICKET ONLY event so please do let us know if you would like to attend as places are limited.

*We will ask for a donation towards drinks at the end of the night.

Our second November event is our very own private ghost tour of Colchester town centre.

Our guide for the evening will be Derek Wray who as it happens was Old King Cole in the Colchester Carnival.

The evening will start with a drink at 7pm in the George Hotel, just to settle the nerves.

The tour begins at 7:30pm and will finish at around 9:30pm with some spine tingling tales in a haunted pub (where of course we can stay if we wish).

Dress will be casual and should reflect the weather on the night.

And the price, just £7.50 per head (cash only, please bring exact amount).

Getting to the summit is optional…

Join us on 1st October at Parkford Shooting Centre for an afternoon of clay pigeon shooting.

PSC is set in picturesque farmland on the outskirts of St.Osyth village conveniently located between Clacton and Colchester. The centre offers a wide range of clay pigeon shooting layouts to enable you to enjoy the most of the fastest growing sport in the country.

The shooting school is run by the Ford brothers Richard, David & Alistair. Over the years that the school has operated their coaching skills have become the forefront for clay pigeon shooting excellence.

Alistair has been a member of the England shooting team for the last eight years and in 1999 was ranked Number 1 in the country. Collectively their coaching skills have helped many people gain County, England and International status.
