After working away in London for many years i’d lost touch with the goings on in Colchester. Table was (and still is) a fantastic way to rebuild the social life if you’ve been away, are new to the area or simply want to meet a great group of likeminded people.
I joined Table after hearing about the great social events through a few friends who were members. After being invited along to a few meetings, I felt very welcome by the existing crowd. Table fits in well with our family situation, since I have a young daughter, and so can sometimes find it difficult to socialise. For me, Table is now part of my normal social routine, and I can count the members as real friends.
I joined Colchester 367 to follow in my father’s footsteps, as he had been an active tabler for many years. During my time in table I have met so many different people from all walks of life and have raised thousands of pounds for local causes. I have travelled & visited tables across Europe, which has given me additional friends that I am still in touch with and able to visit.
I joined Round Table when I moved to Colchester and it has given me a fantastic network of friends and business contacts

Why I joined Table
Round Table is a great way to get to meet people you wouldn’t normally get to know, and to try new fun activities. I often work late, so it is good to have something in the diary that I can plan to go to in advance. Also, I love that we generate money to be distributed to good causes in and around Colchester.

Why I joined Table
I was introduced to Table by a friend of mine and really enjoy having a wide network of like-minded guys to share experiences with. I have travelled around Europe meeting lots of Tabler’s from different countries and experienced different cultures – making new friends along the way. Belonging to Table has helped to improve some of my skills and I find the fundraising aspect of our work in the community is very rewarding.

Why I joined Table
I joined Table to get to socialise with existing friends, and to try new things on a regular basis.
I joined in memory of my late dad who was a lifelong tabler. I wanted to experience what he did and make lifelong friends through the table and to help the local area through organising events, but mostly have some fun doing it!
Round table shouldn’t be a secret!!!
I joined Table after meeting with a few of the current Tablers at a number of social events. They came across like a decent, sociable, forward-thinking group, so I signed up.

Why I joined Table
I wanted to get out and try some new activities with a group of like minded people and become involved in helping the local community. One evening I went along to along to a curry where it was immediately apparent Colchester Table was exactly what I was looking for – a group of likeable, straightforward blokes who have a laugh (usually at each other’s expense) while doing some good for others.
